The cone mill for pharmaceutical processes
CroMill can process either wet or dry products in the following processes:

The underdriven design enables vertical product flow, ensuring uninterrupted processing and increased raw material throughput. Ideal for pharmaceutical applications.
CroMill´s constructive concept meets the GMP guidelines and its design is FPD (Free of Paint Design). It is manufactured in mirror-polished AISI 316L stainless steel in all parts in contact with the product. The rest of the equipment is made in AISI 304 stainless steel.
Other CroMill advantages are: no inaccessible areas, for an excellent cleanliness; small amount of pieces, making it easy to disassemble and a very low noise level.
The “TriClamp” bridle in the screw make it possible to separate it from the machine. No tool disassemble for easier and complete cleaning.
The pneumatic seal system avoids cross contamination.
The cone mill principle is based on two main parts:
a) A perforated AISI 316L stainless steel cone.
b) A rotor that spins close to the cone.
Cromill working principle: As the product flows inside the mill, the impeller imparts centrifugal action to the particles forcing them through the holes. The higher the speed, the flatter the angle in which the particles go through the holes, thus the smaller size obtained.
